Exodus 24:12

"And the Lord said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them."

Nehemiah 9:13,14

"Thou camest down also upon mount Sinai, and spakest with them from heaven, and gavest them right judgments, and true laws, good statutes and commandments: And madest known unto them thy holy sabbath, and commandedst them precepts, statutes, and laws, by the hand of Moses thy servant:"

Who wrote the Law?


Exodus 31:18

"And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God."

To whom the Commandments are given?


Leviticus 27:34

" These are the commandments, which the Lord commanded Moses for the children of Israel in mount Sinai."


Numbers 15:16,15

"One ordinance shall be both for you of the congregation, and also for the stranger that sojourneth with you, an ordinance for ever in your generations: as ye are, so shall the stranger be before the Lord. One law and one manner shall be for you, and for the stranger that sojourneth with you."


Matthew 24:14

"And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come."


1st. John 2:7

"Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning."

To what Jesus came to earth?


Matthew 5:17

"Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil."


John 12:49,50

"For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak."

What to do to have eternal life?


Matthew 19:16,17

"And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?  And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments."


Matthew 7:19

"Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire."

Jesus gave commandments once again


Acts 1:3,2

" To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God: Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:"


Matthew 28:19,20

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

How long do we need to observe the commandments?


1st Timothy 6:14

"That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:"


Revelation 22:14

"Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city."


Psalms 89:34

"My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips."


James 1:17

"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning."


Psalms 111:7,8

"The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure. They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness."


Psalms 148:6

"He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass."


Numbers 15:23

"Even all that the Lord hath commanded you by the hand of Moses, from the day that the Lord commanded Moses, and henceforward among your generations;"


Ecclesiastes 3:14

" I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him."


James 2:12

"So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty."

What happen to those who despise the commandments?


Proverbs 19:16

"He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his own soul; but he that despiseth his ways shall die."


Hebrews 10:28

"He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:"


Isaiah 8:20

"To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them."


Deuteronomy 27:26

"Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen."


1st. John 2:4

"He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him."


Galatians 3:10

"For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them."


Revelation 21:8

"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."


John 7:49.

"But this people who knoweth not the law are cursed."
