What is the Bible?

The Bible is the Prophet's Book; it is the Lord's Book.

Isaiah 34:16. Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them.

Revelation 22:7. Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

According to Matt Slick: "The Bible is a collection of 66 books written by about 40 authors, in three different languages, on three different continents, over approximately 1600 years. The Bible claims to be inspired and inerrant.  This means that the Bible claims to be from God and that it is without error in everything it addresses."

Who wrote the Bible?

Holy men did.

2 Peter 1:20,21. Knowing  this  first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake [as they were] moved by the Holy Ghost.

This  book  of  the  law  shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous,  and  then  thou  shalt  have  good  success. Have not I commanded thee?  Be  strong  and  of  a  good courage;  be  not  afraid,  neither  be  thou  dismayed:  for  the LORD thy God [is] with thee whithersoever thou goest.
