How to serve the Lord

Deuteronomy 10:20
"Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God; him shalt thou serve, and to him shalt thou cleave, and swear by his name."
Psalms 22:30
"A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation."
Acts 3:25
"Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed."
Psalms 101:6
"Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me."
Joshua 22:5
"But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the Lord charged you, to love the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul."
Isaiah 60:7
"All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory."
Exodus 10:26

Deuteronomy 12:5,6

Numbers 6:27

John 12:26
"If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour."
1st Chronicles 28:9
"And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the Lord searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever."

People nor know the Lord neither want to serve him:
Job 21:15
" What is the Almighty, that we should serve him? and what profit should we have, if we pray unto him?"
Psalms 10:4
"The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts."
Malachi 3:14
"Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the Lord of hosts?"
Jeremiah 25:11,12
"And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years. And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, saith the Lord, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans, and will make it perpetual desolations."

People abandoned the Lord to serve other gods:
Jeremiah 16:11
"Then shalt thou say unto them, Because your fathers have forsaken me, saith the Lord, and have walked after other gods, and have served them, and have worshipped them, and have forsaken me, and have not kept my law;"
Psalms 106:36
" And they served their idols: which were a snare unto them."
Deuteronomy 4:28
"And there ye shall serve gods, the work of men's hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell."
Galatians 4:8
"Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods."
Jeremiah 11:10
"They are turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, which refused to hear my words; and they went after other gods to serve them: the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their fathers."
Jeremiah 16:12,13
"And ye have done worse than your fathers; for, behold, ye walk every one after the imagination of his evil heart, that they may not hearken unto me: Therefore will I cast you out of this land into a land that ye know not, neither ye nor your fathers; and there shall ye serve other gods day and night; where I will not shew you favour."
Judges 10:13
"Yet ye have forsaken me, and served other gods: wherefore I will deliver you no more."

When serving the Lord people ought to serve the Son as well:
Jeremiah 30:9
"But they shall serve the Lord their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them."
Daniel 7:13,14
"I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed."
Jeremiah 27:7
"And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son's son, until the very time of his land come: and then many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of him."
Psalms 72:11
" Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him."
Isaiah 60:12.
"For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted."
